Week 6

March 30th, 20011

The week has gone good! Plenty of lessons and doing way better at teaching. Two of your investigators on date just happen to be moving this saturday but we taught them all 4 lessons and they are ready to be baptized. So thats not very cool but its ok with me as long as they do get baptized when they move. I don't care about our numbers if they still get baptized. Yeah its getting hot here but not anything I can't handle. They say it gets up to 115 or 120 and at night it doesn't get any cooler. Its still like 102 at night. They say its like you step into the shade instead of being in the sun at night. So yeah. We will see how that goes.
NICE!!! I heard from Brook that Zach and Connor are working on their papers. Thats WAY awesome!!! I'm so proud of them. Oh man I'm excited for them. I'm going to write Brook back today and tell him about all the tips and tricks at the MTC. So he should share those with Connor and Zach and Kyle and Shane. Oh man there is nothing more I want in the world then for all of them to go on a mission. How is James Dewey doing? I have thought about him a lot. Is he going to go on a mission?
For some reason it takes the mail a long time to get here. Some has taken like 15 days. Oh well. We got another mail key so I got your package! Thank you its way awesome! Someone else in my district had a small PMG and I really wanted one then you sent me one. Except his was regular one and not a legit as the one sister Fitz gave me. Thank her for me. Now I'm able to carry it around with me in my backpack and go over the lessons before I teach. So many people want mine its funny.
Can't wait to see the new house! Its going to be so awesome!!! For general conference I'm the official greeter for all 4 seasons. I get to go to the stake center and watch it. Like Courtney said to me its like the super bowl for missionary's. Except I only watched about 10 seconds of the last super bowl then went to mission prep instead. But I get what she means. I'm actually surprisingly excited about it. It's kind of weird. Katherine is going to watch it with you?! Thats awesome! I really hope she is doing ok. I'm glad Dad is watching out for her and had that prompting to call her. She is going through a lot right now with her parents. She seems like she is being pretty strong but its still way hard for her and she doesn't like to show it. So just talk to her every once in a while and encourage her.
Yeah its weird that they are going back. Thats the perfect place for Rennie. She will love it! Is she going this spring? When I get back Katherine, Britt, Rennie and Taylor might all be there. Then Britt and I could be in the same classes because we would both be 2nd semester freshmen. Then Lauren will almost be a Junior?! SOoooooooooooooooo weird.
I bet it was weird to have us all gone. Pretty soon your going to be an empty nester. It's hard on Lauren to have us all gone. So see how she is doing with that. It must be hard.
Thats good that everybody is getting my emails. I'm behind on replying to my letters. I will have to give up some basketball time to do some more writing. I have 7 I need to write back. So I will get all of those done today.
Besides that Naoco are Japanese investigator finally would read and we got her to say a prayer kind of. We figured out why she didn't want to say Amen or in the name of Jesus Christ so that was good. Weird culture and very hard to teach. Christians or Catholics already have a belief in God so its easier. Everything we are teaching her goes against what she believes and has believed. Then she brought up gays and lesbians and we taught her about that. Interesting but I could really tell that Elder Lee and I were being told what to say when we were explaining how the church disagrees with that and why. It went really well and she excepted what we told her. It was amazing that it went that well with that subject. The spirit is an amazing thing. Jeremy the one in the picture with me is progressing very well. We took him to the visitor center and watched the Joseph Smith movie. Way powerful. We got a referral and normally referrals aren't very good and they normally aren't that interested. Then we have been having trouble finding new investigators. But we found this lady named Fawn. She had so many good questions. Then when we talked about theBook of Mormon and were it came from and how Lehi came over to the Americas and how they were the descendent's of the native Americans she was like what? I thought Columbus was the first one to come over. But then her husband was like duh honey the Indians had to of come from somewhere. So she is very interested and so is her husband and their 11 year old son. They excepted everything we told them very well and want us to come back. They are what we call golden investigators. When I work hard and rely on the Lord he will always provide.
Here are some other random pictures I took. I took a picture of my dad (Mission lingo for Elder Lee) so you know what he looks like and then one of the outside of my apartment. Then other random ones. Thats all for this week
